Your Privacy Matters

At Om.AI, we take your privacy seriously. This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

  • Account Information: email, name
  • Birth Details: birth date, birth time, and birth place
  • Chat Conversations: messages exchanged with our AI astrologer
  • Push Notification Tokens: device tokens for sending notifications
  • Device Information: device model, operating system version, app version
  • Purchase History: subscription status and transaction records
  • Usage Data: how you interact with our app
  • Communication Preferences: your notification settings and preferences

We also collect information automatically through analytics and advertising tools built into the app:

  • Advertising Identifiers: your device's resettable advertising ID (the Google Advertising ID on Android, or the Advertising Identifier on iOS if you allow tracking), collected by the Meta (Facebook) SDK
  • App Activity and Device Signals: app installs, app opens, sessions, purchase events, IP address, and general device information, used to measure how our ads perform

You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of ad personalisation, at any time in your device settings (Android: Settings › Google › Ads; iOS: Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking). On iOS we only collect the Advertising Identifier if you grant permission when asked.

Approximate location (safety feature): if a message you send indicates a personal crisis, we use your IP address to determine your country so we can show a crisis helpline relevant to where you are. This lookup runs on our own servers against a local GeoLite2 database — your IP address is not sent to any external service for this purpose, and no location information is stored.

How We Protect Your Data

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction.

Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with:

  • Service providers who help us operate the app, including third-party AI providers that process your chat messages to generate astrology responses
  • Other users, when you choose to connect — Om.AI includes optional social features. Your display name and username are discoverable by search so friends can find you; you can turn discoverability off in the app's settings. When you send or accept a friend or partner request, the other person can see your display name and the compatibility readings generated between your birth charts, which include astrological details derived from your birth information (such as signs and guna scores). Your raw birth date, time, and place are never shown to other users.
  • Advertising and analytics partners — principally Meta (Facebook) and Google — so we can measure which ads lead people to install Om.AI and subscribe, and so we can reach similar audiences. What we share with them is limited to advertising and measurement data: your advertising identifier, app and purchase events (including the amount and product purchased), your IP address, and an email address and account identifier that are cryptographically hashed before they leave our servers. We never share your birth details or your chat conversations with advertising partners.
  • Legal authorities when required by law
  • With your explicit consent

Some of these providers operate outside India (for example, in the United States), so your information may be processed there under appropriate safeguards. We retain your information only for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service and meet legal requirements; you can delete your account and data at any time from within the app. Account deletion is completed within 30 days of your request — on current app versions your account enters a 30-day grace period first, during which you can cancel the deletion simply by signing back in. Once the grace period ends, your data is permanently and irreversibly removed.

Subscription and Auto-Renewal Terms

Auto-Renewal: Your Om.AI Premium subscription will automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.

Subscription Pricing: Current pricing for monthly and yearly plans is shown in the app and on the App Store / Google Play at the time of purchase, in your local currency.

For iOS (Apple App Store)

How to Cancel: You can cancel your subscription at any time by:

  • Going to Settings > Your Name > Subscriptions
  • Selecting "Om.AI Premium"
  • Tapping "Cancel Subscription"

Billing: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

Refund Policy: Refunds are subject to Apple's refund policy. You can request a refund through the App Store.

For Android (Google Play Store)

How to Cancel: You can cancel your subscription at any time by:

Billing: Billing occurs at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Google Play Store account settings.

Refund Policy: You can request a refund within 24 hours of purchase through Google Play Store. After 24 hours, refunds are subject to Google Play Store's refund policy.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. We will notify you of any significant changes, and your continued use of the app after such updates will signify your acceptance of the new terms.
