It works in three steps. First, you enter your birth date, exact time of birth and city. Second, it reads the chart using classical texts including Brihat Parashara Hora Shastra, Brihat Jataka and Phaladeepika, picking up yogas, doshas such as Manglik, and planetary strength. It compares two birth charts using the traditional Ashtakoot system, which scores eight areas: Varna, Vashya, Tara, Yoni, Graha Maitri, Gana, Bhakoot and Nadi. The maximum is 36 points, and 18 or more is traditionally considered favorable for marriage. Beyond the score, Om.AI looks at how the two charts interact (the aspects between your planets) and whether both partners' Dasha periods line up, and you can ask follow-up questions about the match in chat.
